Asian Games

The origin of Asian Games goes back to 1947, when the Asian Relations Conference held in New Delhi decided to organize an International games meet for Asian Countries, on the lines of Olympic Games once in four years. Since then the games have grown to become the Asia the biggest sports festival in Asia.
The First Asian Games were held in 1951 at the National Stadium New Delhi and were inaugurated by Dr Rajendra Prasad. About 489 participants from 11 different nations participated in the Games.
